ABHA is optional
Your Nevika profile and MedoTag card work without ABHA. Linking ABHA lets you take part in consent-based record exchange with participating providers.
Two separate directions
- Into MedoTag (HIU): with your approval, retrieve eligible records from participating ABDM-connected providers
- Out of Nevika (HIP): records created by Nevika-connected providers can be published and shared through approved ABDM workflows
What linking does not do
- It does not give Nevika access to all your medical records
- It does not copy one central database
- Records remain with their source providers; availability depends on provider participation
